This wedding was planned to a T!
♥
From flowers and raiment, to locations and entertainment, every element was thought out meticulously. The day was full of beauty, passion, friendships, and love.
Michael and Meghan live in our nation’s capital, but they both were raised (and met) in Northern NY. Naturally, they returned to their roots to celebrate their new beginning, surrounded by friends and family.
The groomsmen were donned in ties of various patterns and shades of green. They were individually chosen, by Michael, as personalized gifts.
The girls were a blast! Each wore a unique gown, accenting their own distinctive charisma.
Charming from head to toe!
Michael and Megan surprised their guests by secretly taking dance lessons. They did a fabulous job! Everyone was truly elated.
For parting gifts, everyone received a baby spruce on the way out. A fantastic gift that keeps on giving!
There were so many great photos, it was very hard for me to pick just a few. I’m still finishing up with this one though. So, don’t be surprised if I post a few more down the line!
Thank you, Michael and Meghan, for your blind trust! Hiring a photographer without meeting in person can be a very nerve racking experience. I am delighted and honored to have been chosen.
Congratulations!

Last month, I had the pleasure of shooting a west coast wedding!
♥
Steve and Megan live in sunny Southern California.
When Megan contacted me about covering her wedding, I was thrilled! The days could not come fast enough. (What better excuse to squeeze in a little holiday?!) Who doesn’t love the west coast? Although, I admit, this was my first time south of the Bay Area. Everyone has always told me how much nicer it is in Southern California. Now, I understand!
Holding true to character, California delivered an absolutely beautiful day. Intimately set outside at a distant country club, the ceremony was modest and elegant. It was everything a wedding should be.
Thank you so much Megan and Steve! You made me feel like family with all of your hospitality. You know who to call if you ever feel like visiting Virginia Beach! I hope you enjoy your wedding photos for generations to come.

Anyone who knows me well has most likely heard me rave on and on about Scott Robert Lim.
He is only one of the top-leading wedding photographers in the nation’s industry!
I had the extreme pleasure of shooting alongside (or should I say over-the-shoulder) of him and another colleague during my visit to California last month.
The following are some favorites I shot for Rita & Andrew. Please note that some images (the good ones) were set-up by Scott Robert. I have placed credits below each of those images. If you are interested, I highly suggest that you check out Scott’s website and blog. His creativity has no limits!
Thank you so much Scott, for letting me be a part of Rita & Andrew’s special day! And, thank you to Rita and Andrew too!
Andrew and Rita chose to have a “first viewing” before the ceremony. Here, he anxiously awaits to see his beautiful bride for the first time.
After the first viewing, the bridal party headed out for formal shots.
A break in the shade. That California sun is a scorcher!
Hey! That’s the bride’s parasol!
Andrew, a.k.a. “The Turtle Man”, has an extreme passion for turtles.

There were several tears of joy. A beautiful ceremony.
All of the place cards and tables were marked with a distinctive and unique, rare species of turtle.

Each centerpiece included a photo, taken by Andrew, of one (or, in this case, two) of his most rare turtles. He had personally raised each and every one of them.
During the reception, the couples played the kissing game. I’ve never seen so many kisses in one day!
Everyone had such an amazing time.
To see more of Rita and Andrew, keep an eye on Scott Robert’s blog!

I knew I wrote them down somewhere. All of the passwords that I continually confuse myself with.
Sometime before the move, which happened months and months ago. (Obviously. Just look at my last post!) I wrote them down in a notebook – that was packed in storage! Go figure.
So, now that I have it back, I have tons and tons of catching up to do. Let alone, I’m sure I’ll have to dig up all of my reliable, old friends.
Thanks for coming back. I’m happy to be home again.

Hi everyone! Hope all is well. We have just about managed to make it through another winter. Only TWO more days until it is officially Spring! Yayee! I just hope someone informs Mother Nature. I am so ready for all of this snow to melt!
With Spring, comes new life. This is what I’ve been dedicating some of my time to recently. This is Jill. She’s a really rad chick. As you can probably guess, she lives life by her own rules. And, it’s really working for her. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the afternoon with Jill. We had a blast! She wanted to cover the baby-belly-basics, but she really wanted to do something a bit different and fun too. Below are some of my favorites from the shoot. Let me know what you think!
Just so you don’t freak out…
Jill does not drink or smoke. She might cook while barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen though!

I’m heading down south for a few weeks! I’m so excited. No more waking up to this:
every morning! And, no more going out to this:
everyday. Yay! And, although I might miss this:
a little. I will surely not be gone long enough! Bundle up New York. I will post some picks for you to look at from the warmth of your homes.
See you (too) soon! Take care.
Jackie
P.S. These pics aren’t the best. They were taken with my little point-and-shoot! You get the idea though.
